Transport for NSW has named its new Dubbo Maintenance Facility 'Mindyarra, (pronounced Min-dga-rra). The word Mindyarra is a Wiradjuri word, it means 'to fix' or 'to repair'. It was chosen to represent the work that will occur at the new rail maintenance facility. Transport for NSW worked closely with the Wiradjuri Nation representatives through storytelling and collaboration as we build a new Regional Rail Maintenance Facility in Dubbo. In naming the new Maintenance Facility Transport for NSW has to work to Mindyarra the future through understanding language, culture and stories.
